MD Program Information Day

Are you a current college student thinking of applying to the MD program at Oregon Health & Science University?

Have you already graduated from college and no longer have access to a pre-med or pre-health advisor?

The OHSU School of Medicine is here to help. Medical education at OHSU puts students at the forefront of health care knowledge. The MD program is a highly competitive program and prepares students to be leaders in a changing health care system.

MD Program Information Day

  • Our next Info Day is tentatively scheduled for Friday, October 6, 2023.

  • Registration will open on Thursday, August 31. Scroll to the bottom for a link to the registration form.

  • Please note that until Thursday, August 31st, this link will not function.

This online training program spans nine months during the academic school year and includes distance learning webinars on topics including MCAT prep, summer research opportunities, the medical student experience, and the medical school application and interview process. Further, they have a UPS+ program for outstanding pre-medical sophomores with a GPA of 3.2 or higher. These scholars are invited to additional sessions in June 2024, including a week of in-person mentorship.

Are you interested in an experiential research program for pre-health students? OHSU Department of Emergency Medicine's research program, CRISP, is seeking highly disciplined students who are able to commit to 2 4-hour shifts (8 hours) per week for 12 weeks, followed by 1 4-hour shift per week. 9 month minimum commitment required.

The director of this program is committed to strengthening the pipeline for underrepresented students in the pre-health arena. More details can be found by following the links below.
